Getting Ready
Alex and Elliot got ready in separate wings of Carlton Towers.
Alex got ready with his best man. You always need that one person to have a final look at you to make sure you’re all ready and everything is just right.
The best thing about weddings is that it’s never too early for a bit of bubbly or a little G&T!
Bubbles and The Copper Bath
Elliot got ready in the wedding suite where he and Alex would stay the night after the wedding. It has the most fabulous copper bathtub so we had to get a photo!
Morning bubbles in the bath to calm the nerves!
Elliot had a few grooms people with him to get ready and crack out the bubbly together (not in the bath this time!).
Raj found a Carlton Towers leather bound writing box which made the perfect prop for the photo of the rings.
There were so many spectacular rooms. We were spoilt for choice with photo locations at Carlton Towers.
Ceremony
The mood was set with musicians playing music from Bridgerton and many beautiful classical pieces.
This stunning gold room filled with guests for the ceremony. Alex waited patiently for his husband-to-be. The grande doors opened and Elliot alongside his best man walked down the aisle together.
The String Trio played music as they all left the ceremony for photos and canapes.
It was a beautiful day for sitting on the lawns, drinking and eating good food with good company.
We love to use the relaxed moments in the day to get any other couple, friends or family photos as it’s such a good opportunity to get some lovely photos for your guests as well. Everyone’s all dressed up in a beautiful location so why not! Then all your guests will share their images and shout about how amazing your special day was.
Under the Magnolia Tree
This stunning Yorkshire wedding venue is set amongst beautiful countryside. They even make their own wine! In the walled vineyard, there was a beautiful magnolia tree in full bloom. What perfect timing! They also allow the couple to have some time together to walk through the private gardens.
They were so lucky to have a beautiful sunny day. It was just perfect weather so we had to make the most of the beautiful grounds around Cartlon Towers.
Dinner and Speeches in the Grande Hall
Elliot gave a wonderful speech followed by Alex’s best man. There were plenty of laughs and embarrassing moments!
The food was not only presented beautifully but tasted delicious. They went for a traditional roast dinner with all the trimmings and lots of gravy! There was soup, meat påté, cheese boards as well as a trio of desserts. A trio of deserts is always a nice touch as you get the best of everything.
We took photos of the couple out in the grounds but we had to capture some inside the venue itself and the beautiful staircase was a perfect spot. They look like Lords of the manor!
Reception and Cake Cutting
Carlton Towers was all lit up at night! The party was getting started. There was wood fired pizza being cooked outside, music playing and plenty of cake to eat!
